What a great start!
I am delighted to let you know that all of your wonderful children have settled into school really well over the last two weeks and are working hard and enjoying being with their friends.
I know you will join me, in welcoming all of our new children who have started in the Nursery and Reception classes but also in the other Year groups too. We also welcome newly appointed teachers, Miss Baillie-Young, Ms Parnell, Miss Murphy and Miss Ali.
Apologies for the delay in confirming year group PE days but our PE coach Mr. Grant left us unexpectedly at the end of the Summer term. We have had to recruit his replacement this term as we always have to observe potential teachers teaching our children to ensure that they meet our high standards.
The PE days are as follows:
- Monday – Yr. 1 Blackbirds and Year 6 Ospreys
- Tuesday – Yr. 3 and Yr. 4
- Wednesday – Year 1 Starlings and Year 5
- Thursday – Reception and Year 2
- Friday – Year 6
Children should come into school wearing their PE kit on these days. For PE lessons, all children should wear a plain white T-shirt, the school sweatshirt, plain black shorts and a pair of trainers. Warm black or grey track suit bottoms can be worn for outdoor games in the colder months. Nursery and Reception children have daily slots with Mr Currie in small groups but do not need PE kit for these.

Now that your children are settled, we would like to invite you to the Year Group Curriculum Evenings as follows:
- Year 1 28th Sept Mon 2:50 pm – 3:10 pm in the Infant Hall
- Year 2 29th Sept Tue 2:50 pm – 3:10 pm upstairs in the Year 2 classrooms
- Year 3 30th Sept Wed 2:50 pm – 3:10 pm in the Junior hall
- Year 5 1st Oct Thu 2:50 pm – 3:10 pm in the Junior hall
- Year 6 2nd Oct Fri 2:50 pm – 3:10 pm in the Junior hall
